What Is Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is a colorless, odorless gas that’s gently inhaled through a small mask over your nose. It creates a light, calming sensation — often described as “floaty,” “tingly,” or simply peaceful — helping reduce anxiety, discomfort, and fear during treatment.

When Is Nitrous Oxide Helpful

Fluoride treatments are quick, painless, and can be completed during your routine cleaning appointment.
